Jay Peak Resort, Vermont – Honest Review
One of the biggest letdowns was the customer service. Staff members were not particularly hospitable, often coming across as rude, dry, and unwilling to go the extra mile. Observing their interactions with other guests, I noticed a general lack of warmth and attentiveness.
Another recurring theme throughout the resort was the constant shortage of basic items. Across multiple restaurants and service areas, the catchphrase seemed to be "We're out of..."—whether it was Pepsi, ice, nachos (at The Warming Shelter), cinnamon (at Aroma Café), or even spoons. This became a running joke during our stay, but it was also frustrating.
That said, there were some positives. The indoor water park was a fantastic experience, especially for young kids. It provided a fun escape from the cold, making it a highlight of the trip.
Would I return? Yes, but I’d come prepared for the “we’re out of’s.”

Superb stay! Absolute comfort
The location is superb, the room is large and very clean. I appreciate that there were several pillows and blankets, moreover that the beds are very comfortable. We slept very well. The water park is fine but it lacks seating downstairs. We ate well too.
I recommend this place and would definitely return.

Great Cross Country Skiing and Friendly Staff
I bumped into Dave Burns, who works as a host on the trails. I benefitted greatly from his local knowledge! He is a really good ambassador for the Nordic Ski Centre.
My day was looking like a disaster but came away with a smile on my face.
It was a little tricky finding the start of the trail. One parking lot attendant pointed me to the golf course clubhouse. This is no longer the venue for the cross country skiing. A few more signs guiding you to the rental shop and the start of the trail would help.
I really appreciated the Maps at all the trail intersections.
