Had a nice stay. Only downfall is no one told us the breakfast wasnt included so when we got a bill at the end breakfast we were shocked. Especially since we just grabbed a couple small things but were charged for a buffet.

Chico Doubletree disappointment

We usually stay at the Hampton Inn when in Chico but for a last minute one night visit we decided to check out the Doubletree. Warm cookie at checkin but that's where the warmth ends. Hotel staff was unfriendly and a little abrasive. Hotel is recently updated but still has a rough feel to it. Rooms are decent but I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Hotel is in a sketchier part of Chico and doesn't feel especially safe. Felt disappointed in the vibe and hospitality. Lobby area, bar and pool are nice amenities but when in Chico, we decided we definitely prefer the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn over the Doubletree.

Hotel was really dirty and smelled horrible. To top it all of when we entered the hotel room, the room was at 80 deg. Turned the ac on and the ac was broken! Told the front desk and they blew us off.
