Fantastic hotel and pub. Everything was excellent. I couldn’t fault the room food or service. Looking forward to coming back.

Fantastic pub/ hotel

We stayed here as a family on New Year’s Eve before our flight to Cape Verde. It was a great start to our holiday - great food a dj and excellent rooms ! All staff were friendly especially David and Nicky ! Would highly recommend and would stay again

Great Stay and Fantastic Customer Service

We booked three rooms as we were attending a wedding near by, we required 2 doubles and 1 twin with assistance for a wheel chair user. When we arrived we had three doubles and no accessible bath room. It was a pain but the young man on the front desk did everything he could to help. He agreed to split one of the double beds, but nothing he could do about the accessible bathroom. Luckily as it was only on night my parents could make do. However when I checked my booking later I realised I didn't book an accessible bathroom as it wasn't required at time of booking but all the same great customer service.
We went to the pub for a meal and the food was of a good pub grub standard, large portions and good value. Once again the staff in restaurant were great, and really accommodating. The only small down side is after dinner I went to the bar for a drink and of the three bar staff the two young ladies did not even engage with me get a drink and went about cleaning up. (More training needed there). Breakfast weas great and again the staff were very accommodating.

Great Place

Had a lovely meal at the Bulls Head. Assistant Manager was very helpful as my friend was disabled. Food great and service friendly. Parking very easy outside. In the Summer there is a fab garden at back with plenty of tables. Its is a pretty pub and highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time.
The hotel itself is excellent, spotlessly clean, with lovely spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast met our expectations, offering everything from a full English to vegetarian options, all served with very good and polite service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return.
That said, we did encounter a few issues that could be easily addressed to improve the guest experience:
Upon arrival, there was no one at reception, just a notice, we went to the pub outside to find someone. Perhaps a buzzer or a way to call the person on duty would make this process more convenient.
We weren’t informed that we needed to hang the "PLEASE CLEAN" sign outside for room service.(possibly because the person was very friendly and we were chatting a lot) As a result, no one came to check on the room, which was mainly for bins and fresh towels.
The room was freezing cold when we arrived. While the heating worked well once turned on, it took a few hours to warm up. It might be helpful to ensure the heater is turned on prior to a guest's arrival, especially during colder weather.
We hope this feedback is helpful, and we’re looking forward to visiting again soon
