Excellent position

The hotel is 3 Victorian style buildings with charm and a fabulous position. Tram's a minute's walk away. We stayed 3 nights in the central building, the Buchan. The triple room is spacious, the bad thing is that there was no wardrobe to place clothes in. It was a hollow with a door but there were no shelves or drawers. The bathroom was small but great and everything very clean!!! Cleanliness is 10! To charge the phones, there is USB on the bedside tables (if you have iPhone carry the plug to connect it to USB) The room has a powerful hairdryer, if you carry a hair straightener carry a transformer, I did not remember to take it from home and I had to buy one for 20€ in a bazaar .
I have to say it's not very soundproof, we heard the kids in another room screaming or the music of their toys, but the hotel is not to blame, truth be told.
The first afternoon we went for a Guiness at the bar, it's super nice, Scottish style.
The staff, correct and friendly. On their website says they speak French, Italian, Catalan, Spanish apart from English but the 4 or 5 people we spoke to at reception spoke only English. We checked in at almost 1am and no problem, and after checkout we left our bags for a free tour. I recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Haymarket. The staff were excellent and their breakfast was cooked to order. Location was very close to the Haymarket train station so very convenient. The only drawback was the hotel did not have an elevator. The hotel manager offered to move us to another one of their buildings but we elected to stay with our original room. At the end of the day, despite being on the top floor, the stairs were doable. Recommend staying.

Great experience!

The Haymarket hotel is a charming hotel, extremely well located, very near the bus stop for the airport bus and the Haymarket station. The room are tidy and nice and the bedding is comfortable. We liked the breakfast. The staff were kind and helpful. We will come back !

If you don't need to shower, it's oké

The hotel is nearby a bus-tram-train station. So if you don't like to walk, it's easy to go to the centre.
Breakfast is fine. Service oké.
But our room at the top was too hot. And worst: we coudn't take a shower. There was no pressure en no hot water. I asked to make it, but nobody did. Therefore I think the price quality is not oké

Great location & comfortable sleep

Great location for train & bus travellers. Comfortable room, and very helpful and welcoming staff. Though a bit pricey, it was worth it for our last night in Scotland & our early bus journey the next morning (location so close to train station).
