Nice, pleasant stay,,

Book a one night stay here,
Although check in wasn't until 2,
We got to the pub at 12, the young girl we dealt with at the bar/reception was helpful and friendly,we had a drink and had a light lunch, I had a sandwich and my wife had a prawn cocktail, both were delicious,
Went to our room around 2, it was a nice size, clean, nice comfy bed and there was plenty of tea and coffee,
The one small criticism would be no dressing table with a mirror for my wife to do her hair/makeup,
Went back in the pub later for more drinks and also dinner, which again was delicious, the pub itself was really nice and the staff were freindly. The hotel and the food in the pub were great value for money,
We will definitely stay here again,

So many good things about The Woolpack... comfy bed, lovely towels, fresh flowers, good breakfast, helpful staff etc. BUT, and it's a big but... the walls of Room 6 were like tissue paper - we might as well have been sharing a room with the people next door! This is why we won't be staying here again.

Very pleasant night

Booked this for after a day out to Petworth House because we didn't want to drive home in the dark, and we were very pleasantly surprised by what we got for our money. The accommodation is in a separate purpose-built area in the grounds, and our room was at the end - facing the main road but beautifully quiet. There were so many lovely touches, not least the fresh flowers on the window sill and an inscription on the side of the wardrobe telling us about the person after whom the room was named. There was a kettle, mugs and plentiful tea, coffee and milk, and a drinking water machine in the foyer area if we wanted water. Someone had unplugged the radiator so it was a tad chilly when we arrived, so we plugged it in and after more than a little head scratching we managed to set the timer and thereafter were lovely and snug. A comfy bed and well-stocked bathroom added to our pleasure. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food - both the carvery on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday - was excellent.

Room had all our needs and was well equipped , clean and smelt fresh at all times , staff very friendly and welcoming. Car parking was excellent no problems at all. Breakfast was very good plenty to eat and drink and efficient service,
We had one thing that would have made our stay perfect if the mattress had not been sprung it made the bed feel very lumpy in places and sleep was hit and miss , we will be booking again next time we ho to Chichester as we found it very easy to get around , a big thankyou to the staff who made our stay more enjoyable.

Comfortable and clean a good night's sleep

We stayed here one night in a twin room very clean comfortable and quiet. The bedrooms are in a separate building from the pub. Plenty of free parking WiFi in the rooms bathroom was nice and spacious. Breakfast was included cereals toast and fruit and a really good home made hot breakfast
