Great After A Bad Start

We got off to a bad start here when the jobsworth desk clerk refused to accept my Thai ID Card, which is accepted at every other hotel in Thailand. I wanted to leave but my wife handed over my passport.
After that, the hotel was very nice/good value for money. The rest of the staff were pleasant/helpful, the hotel was clean, large rooms and a large car park.
One big advantage, which you don't find in hotels of this price range post Covid is the restaurant was still open for evening meals, and the food was excellent.
