Quality for money
Building is quirky and very European, has an elevator. Coffee facilities not in rooms, but close to dining room. Many different rooms: right at the pool, rooms with balconies to the front. Main road, but not very busy. No noise at night. Walking distance to the lake. And there is parking! If you have a look around the area room rates are very good with all the facilities. ( Sauna on request / 2hrs at EURO 5 )

An enjoyable place to stay
A good 1.5km walk into town and pretty much the same the other way to the nearest supermarket or railway station at Uberlingen-Nussdorf. Having said that, the walk was a delight along the shores of Bodensee.

very good value for money
the room had sufficient size, always very clean, a good bed, good pillows, a nice balcony facing the lake with a small table and chairs, , a small but fully equipped bathroom with good water presure. there was no minibar (although drinks are served at the room at reasonable price till 21.00 hrs). no safety box in the room. a modern flat tv (perhaps a bit small) allowes you to plug a pendrive and watch your own stuff, since the tv selection only offers channels in german.
breakfast was a german cold buffet: several types of bread, cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, fruits, cereals... and very good coffee. i enjoyed it, however a bread toaster some some pastries would have also been welcome.
the free carpark was very convenient, even for big cars.
pets are welcome and the extra charges are more than reasonable.
the hotel also has an outdoors swimming pool that i did not visit.
the receptionist was friendly and professional. the owner of the hotel is mot of the time around, taking care that things work well and ready to help.
there were two not so satisfactory items: the heater did not work very well in my room and it was a bit cold during the night and the free wifi was rather unstable.
all in all, 60 euros for a single room with breakfast included in a not cheap city as überlingen, is excellent value for money.
i will return to this hotel when in the area.
