Ideal stopping point on the way to Belgium or Italy.

Just across the border from Italy, in Ticino.Five spacious squat rooms, all in white with the name of a capital, we slept in New York.The hotel also has an excellent restaurant with terrace.We enjoyed a Pappardella al sugo di coda. (homemade pasta with beef tail meat).Patrono Paride and his team make it all to your liking.Also a nice breakfast.

Perfect!

Pros:
- very friendly and helpful staff
- very clean rooms
- breakfast is served on site and includes various jams, fresh fruit, orange juice and cereals
- about 50m from Balerna train station (good night's sleep thanks to soundproof windows)
- this hotel takes part in the 'Ticino Ticket' program

Great value for money option

The hotel is a great option as a base to explore this part of Ticino both if you are travelling by car or public transportation. The train station is right next door but no noise can be heard. The hotel is beautifully renovated with a simple but generous breakfast to start the day. And it is great value for money, an asset worth considering in a country of overpriced accommodations.

Sono andata a mangiare con un amica in questo ristorante cibo buonissimo con saporò particolari !!!ottimo servizio gentilì veloci e cordiali !!!Cinzia e Paride ci hanno fatti sentire molto bene !!! Abitavo lì vicino e non ci ero mai andata !!! C’è pure una bella sala dove poter fare delle belle feste !!!Grazie

Cena

Siamo stati a cena per provare la "Charbonnade", griglia da tavolo con diversi tipi di carne, verdure, ottime salsine e croccanti patate fritte! Veramente ottimo, il tutto accompagnato da un buon vino rosato. Servizio attento e gentilissimo! Bravi!
Un consiglio: al posto della radio (ne sentivamo addirittura 2 diverse) in sottofondo si potrebbe mettere della musica più gradevole.
