Completely satisfied!

Fresh and well cleaned. Had a room with a window facing the street but was not disturbed by traffic. Clear and good instructions via message when reception was unmanned. A smaller but really good breakfast. Staff were quick to offer scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast and it was made promptly. Very good!

Great stay and wonderful staff

Clean and fresh, clear instructions to get in when unmanned. Nice beds to sleep in!
The breakfast was very good and the staff arranged additional dishes than what was available by offering them personally. This was very nice and meant that it was possible to get lactose-free scrambled eggs without feeling awkward asking.
The room was quiet and cool. 10/10

Retro hotel in old industrial building

A different kind of a hotel in a brick building in an old industrial estate about 15 minutes walk from the very centre of Vasteras. Display cabinets with retro packages in the corridors. The bedroom was nicely decorated in a modern style with a nice bathroom but unfortunately the shower leaked in my room. No staff in the evening but an evening sandwich in the fridge, fruit and a coffee/tea/chocolate machine.Good breakfast choice.

Value for money with a nostalgic touch

Based in the science park of Casters, the Valsaren is a neat hotel in a nostalgic part of the city but a part which undergoing modernisation with high tech businesses. Not too far from the city shops and restaurants together with the railway station or the AutoRoute to Stockholm. Breakfast is great and the WiFi and everything is to a good standard and yes the hotel does have a small library if you like reading or just thumbing through books. What sets this hotel apart is its price and the hospitality of the staff.

Trying what i have recommended to other earlier

Visiting the hometown i left 3 years ago, i selected Valsaren for a weekend stopover. It is placed a bit off in the center but priceworty and very good.
You get a hearty welcome and good service. Even free night chow.
Rooms nice and fairly good in size.
The breakfast exactly as expected.
The hotel is not manned 24 hrs.
A nice hotel.
I was not at all supprised by this, as many visitors to my former work has stayed there and all recommended it.
