Open Heart, Open View
Your hosts Laura and Oliver are among the most generous and gracious of Innkeepers!
The rooms are compact and efficient, full of the restrained charm of the region. Comfortable beds, puffy pillows and good towels. We all know these details count.
But truly, the warmth and professionalism of this pair was deeply appreciated by us in particular. To be brief. luggage was not delivered by the airline (or its "service" in Barcelona). We found ourselves in a fix since this was a HIKING trip.
Laura immediately stepped up on our very first night assuring us dinner would be waiting for us at 8pm. We were tired since we travelled from the states. Then she offered clothes, then a trip into town to get my basics. I was in good shape - since my bag never arrived, while in Spain.
The cuisine is exceptional, local ingredients delivered with complexity and creativity. You will enjoy Catalan specialties, such as grated tomato with olive oil on crusty bread. It sounds so simple. It is divine.
This inn is a great base for hiking in the region. Its also a great base for spending time with authentic, gracious hosts. Thank you, again Laura and Oliver.
