Cleanliness, hospitality and convenience of the location

I got a double room because the singles were finished, but the price was right.
The room has parquet, comfortable and with a modern decor: new also the bathroom toilets and shower. I found it cozy and clean.
At check there was Ugo, a nice and sociable guy who gave me a map and explanations about the city.
The Inn is a 5-minute walk from the Barrio Antiguo and 15 minutes from the city's busiest beach.
When I left the room there was Bea to check out who was really nice and helpful to check bus schedules to the airport.
We would stay again.

Dire experience in accommodation at the Alicante pension arena

Incidents suffered with the pension arena in one of its lodgings in the street Alcala Galeano 16 - 3 floor apt 8 Alicante ,from the day 21/9 to 23/9/ 2024 that is not where the pension Arena is, but in another building ,but we found out as we went.
The price we paid is much higher than the rooms of the pension, they were 90 € x night, the accommodation was elsewhere.
Telephone attention, but insist that we go get the keys before 20.30, and we were not as tourists but working and visiting flats to live.
My son walked two streets with his bags, to collect the keys, leave the bags, while I waited in the car parked in double row (I do not drive) in the historic center of Alicante, and then go to park and eat something.
We were never told that the place where the keys were removed was not the same as where our accommodation was.
My son walked back again the two streets with his bags up to the car.
Then we went to the other direction and try to park it was an odyssey, again walking with bags on steep slopes and streets, finally we got to the place where we were indicated, the area is more or less, we were very tired, we came from two days non-stop, and to our surprise we had to "climb three floors" by very steep stairs with bags because there is no elevator, and this like so many other things, also did not notify you at the time of making the Reservation.
Surprises followed because there was no WIFI, the signal did not arrive, for us it was vital because we were working and had to consume all our mobile data.
My son when he made the Reservation by phone, indicated that we were mother and son to sleep in separate beds, but they ignored ,because there was only one double bed and he had to sleep in the couch and without sheets.
We showered with cold water because the thermotank was off, they forgot to turn it on.
There wasn't a water heater to make a tea.
We extended the stay for another day because we changed the schedule of the apartments to visit.
On Sunday afternoon my son had to travel rush to Madrid.
I turned on the air conditioner because it was so hot.
I never realized that the device lost water, even when it was turned off, and had wet much of the floor but it was not visible because it is dark, I slipped, fell on my back and slammed my whole body and head against the stone floor, hurting my knee that I already had recovered.
I was about to call an ambulance because I could not move because of the blow and pain, waited on the floor until I felt less dizzy, and called the Arena pension, I talked to one of the girls who attends, and then a Hugo the manager showed up, told me that he just arrived on a trip and checked how water lost the air conditioning apparatus, how wet the floor was, in fact he went to get a mop to another of the accommodations, to dry it, also told me that if everything was not all ok, do not enable it, since they had others in the same building.
Until my departure I placed a towel under the appliance because it kept losing water even off.
The morning very early, they started drilling in the same street, the noise was unbearable even with the windows closed, then Hugo "the manager" came to lower my suitcase down the stairs and call a taxi because I could barely move from the pain from the back of the head to the waist, I had to suspend a work meeting in Malaga, and suspend all my activities.
I had to travel to Madrid because it was my birthday and they were celebrating me there, but I couldn't, I finally told my son what happened, I hadn't done it to not worry him and he came to meet me.
They must have suspended the celebration they were giving me at one of Madrid's Top-rated restaurants.
It's been two weeks, a lot of suffering and expenses that I get this whole situation and the manager of the pension arena is still not taking care of anything and not taking responsibility!

Very well located and very good price

I chose this Pension because I was going to a concert nearby (in the bullring). Also for the price, which was very good, especially in July. Contacts with reception went very well and also in person were very friendly, they informed you of everything. They're not around all day. They provided me with the key and key to open the downstairs door.
The room was interior, but that was good, quieter. It was very nice in size and quite well preserved the furniture. The bed was maybe a little soft, but that's up for grabs. Next to the bed was a plug, good for charging the phone. It also had a desk, chair, furniture with coffee, tea, a kettle and cups. Fortunately there was also a fan, because it was a very hot day. There's no closet, but there's kind of a hanger to hang a couple of things on. I didn't use the TV.
The bathroom was the best, very modern and clean. Shower, great. The floor tiles had hydraulic style, and some details on the walls. In one of them was an extendable magnifying mirror. They provide gel and shampoo and I think there was a dryer (which I didn't use).
In the negative, it has no elevator (but I knew it) and I got a third. The stairs are quite steep, at least I traveled light luggage. It would also have been nice to have air conditioning, because it was a heatwave day. But at least there was a fan. I didn't manage to connect with the wifi, but I didn't need that much either.
Overall, great for the price and for the location, with restaurants, bus stops and a supermarket next door, in the center.

Harassment alert! Female travelers - stay away from this place!

As a female solo traveler I have to say that this has been my worst stay in a hotel so far. Since the day I arrived, I got too much of unwanted attention from the guy working in the reception (I guess he was also the manager of the place). At first I thought he was just being nice and helpful, but once he started complementing my looks and even forcing me to give him my phone number so he could ask me out, I knew his intentions were far beyond just general hospitality. To all the girls out there planning their solo trips - avoid this place! Unless you want to be harassed by a middle-aged latinamerican your whole stay. Please give this review a thumbs up so that no other girl gets to experience that again! Thanks and stay safe!
