Avoid at all costs

I recently stayed at this apartment complex with another couple, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We were placed in two apartments right beside the reception area, which turned out to be extremely noisy and busy throughout our stay. The constant noise made it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep.
To make matters worse, my friends had a major issue with their apartment's shower, which flooded during their stay. When they reported the problem, the staff handed them a plunger and casually mentioned that this was a regular occurrence in that particular apartment. As a result, they ended up coming to use our shower, which was far from ideal for everyone involved.
On top of that, the walls in the apartments were paper-thin, and we could hear everything from crying babies to suitcases, doors, and even bed frames squeaking. It felt like we were constantly listening to the noise from neighboring rooms, making it impossible to get any peace.
We did complain to management, and they offered a free breakfast as compensation, but honestly, a breakfast voucher hardly makes up for the discomfort we endured. We stayed for three nights in December, and it took six weeks for them to respond to our complaint.
Given the noise, the plumbing issues, and the lack of timely communication from management, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. It’s not worth the money, and there are far better options available.

Exceptionally comfortable and well equipped apartment right in the heart of the cities entertainment district.

These apartments are situated right in the middle of the main tourist area and is 5 minutes stroll to dozens of cafes, bars, Restaurants etc including the Marina and Castle entrance. The main shopping area and nearest tram station is about a 5 to 10 minute stroll. Our apartment on the first floor was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped though we didn’t need to use the kitchenette - apart from the kettle.
The welcome from reception was very warm and friendly and we were offered advice on all aspects of Alicante. All rooms are wheelchair friendly and accessible via a lift. Car parking is available at a nearby underground public car park for about €10 per day with hotel discount and is about a 3 minute walk away - booking not possible. Breakfast is available at the cafe next door but we did not use the option. Our room had a basic kitchenette with fridge, hob, microwave and kettle; safe is not provided. The shower was one of the best we have ever had but bring your own gel/shampoo etc.
A few very minor points which did not detract from our stay - the main entrance door was not obviously visible and took us a few minutes to locate - it’s via the black metal gate as per my photo. We visited mid December and the air con heating combined with typical Spanish stone ( heat absorbing) structure resulted in our room being cool but not cold. Also, the beautiful stone structure means other guests noises etc can be heard; this did not bother us but may bother ‘noise aware’ guests.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and would highly recommend it.
