Centrally located, friendly hotel that doesn't skimp on staff (or on guests)

Large, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Extremely clean. Large guest parking area. Very good WiFi. Reception open 24 hours a day. Very friendly service. Lots of staff. Breakfast is very plentiful and generally good (coffee very good), even if there is still room for improvement.
I don't want to criticize the all-round pleasant, apparently owner-managed hotel for the fact that some of the furniture appears to date back to the communist era. Because it is in good condition and its long-term use is sustainable. There is only one thing that really needs to be criticized... the carpets in the rooms urgently need replacing.
Despite this aspect, full marks, it is simply nice.

Correct for very short stay

Establishment on the decline... aging with furniture of the same habit. Nevertheless, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Very friendly welcome. Breakfast limited, very very average quality... Paid parking but for a modest price.

I was highly dissatisfied as after a long drive and arriving late at night, the hotel informed me that I was not in the system (while I had my full confirmation with me). Moreover, the hotel was not as pictured and certainly not worth 100 USD a night. Nonetheless, after insisting that I must be in the system, the receptionist say `Ah yes, you are right, we relocated you (without my knowledge) to another hotel because we were overbooked.` The receptionist then provided me convoluted directions to the `other hotel`. I said that I am not familiar with the city at all and it was dark- cca 10pm. As they did not have a room for me, I proceeded to go to the other hotel. Due to Zvolen being a historical city with many 1-way streets, I got lost and could not find the hotel after circling for about half an hour. Finally I found the other hotel, exhausted and upset. The non-smoking room that I requested, ended up being aired out `smoking room`. By this time, I had no energy to ask for another since I was exhausted...with business meetings the next day. In any case, a very unsatisfactory experience all around. Not to mention, I called Expedia who wrote up the case, promised to issue me a refund but has not done it till today!!!! No sign of it, no apologies - horrible service from A-to-Z (and I am a Gold member.)

Camp of Ice hockey team Slovakia U20 before World Championship

Amazing stay. 2 weeks in quarantine with best team full of Big heart and comittment. Hotel and Restaurant absolutely TOP SERVICE, 10 out of 10. All Guys taking care about us were everytime full of smile providing best service not as a job but out of their heart full of love.
I am vegan and they made such an amazing “job” I cant described it by the words. Even for our “Christmas dinner” on 12/12/2020 the evening before departure to Canada they made a vegan style of typical Slovak Christmas dinner same style our Team had just cabbage soup with soya sausage insted meat and fried soya steak replaces fried alasca fish (actually it was very similar taste as I do remember from many years ago).
If you would like have such a Wonderful experience I can recommend to visite this place only.
