Located in Jardim da Serra Village, the 5-star BIO Hotel - Hotel Quinta da Serra is in a lush green valley, 820 metres above sea-level. Next to the hotel's garden area there is an indoor pool, hot tub and a Spa & Wellness centre.

Dreamlike mountain hotel
Very lovingly designed hotel in the mountains with atmosphere and fantastic views of the valley and the sea! An oasis of tranquillity with a very well-kept, huge garden where own vegetables are also grown.
The restaurant is bright and also has this incomparable view. It is very nicely set with white tablecloth and the quality of the food excellent. All very tasteful and fresh. In some cases there is musical entertainment in the evening and you can choose between menu and buffet. Breakfast also a dream....
Sparkling wine, fresh juice, egg specialties brought to the table, desserts, various fruits and grains, fantastic freshly baked bread, etc..
There is a nice, large indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The swimming pool was too cold for us personally, so we only briefly swam two lanes and then warmed up in the sauna, but this is certainly no wonder at the energy prices at the moment. At another warmer time of the year I'm sure great.
Unfortunately, there is only one bathtub in the bathroom for showering, but it may not be the case in all rooms.

Best Quinta in Madeira
For us the most beautiful quinta in Madeira. Away from the tourist crowds in the heart of the Jadim da Serra with its own history and a great garden. A lot of vegetables and fruits are grown here. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, also the breakfast is unique. There is also a Spa & Wellness area with indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Various massages are offered, it is recommended to reserve a few days in advance. We were here last year and will definitely come back. Also worth mentioning is the excellent room service with welcome fruit basket and a small chocolate on the bed every day.

Beautiful property up in the hills and mountains above Funchal. The gardens are especially impressive.
Large, clean and inviting room. Bed a little too hard and water pressure in sink and shower not impressive, otherwise nothing to complain about.
Great breakfast - good selection and quality offerings. Also very tasty food in the bar. Sadly no dedicated personnel in the bar, so quite a bit of waiting time before people would come over from the restaurant. But excellent service once they arrived!
Good parking as well, a little ways from the front door, and just as well, because you really need a car to stay up here. Quite a ways from anything. May not be ideal for everybody, but I really enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the drive up from Funchal is easy, on excellent roads most of the way.

Heaven is a place and it is called ‘quinta da Sera’
Great location. Awesome good food. The hotel breathes all history. Nice that only local organic products are used. These are conceived in breakfast and dinner into Michelin star worthy dishes.

Not a good experience
Lovely hotel and gardens. Staying in January. No one in the hotel, no staff, no service , horribly depressing. Food! What can I say, if you want to experience strange combo, this is the place. If not run. I am 60 years old. Never wrote a review. But i though they was a first for any thing. PS Horribly expensive .
