Great location
Great location within walking distance from the train station and the main commercial street in Oslo , fantastic breakfast full of choices , standard rooms are of a good size with all the amenities necessary, safe, kettle , large closet,desk etc, also I had the opportunity to enjoy a family room due to an upgrade during my last stay , it was more like an appartment which was great . the hotel staff is really friendly and efficient,

Miniferie in Oslo
A very nice stay at the Thon hotel spectrum. Check-in went quickly and we the room was clean and nice. The only thing I have to postpone on the stay is that it was quite warm in the room. I couldn't turn on the thermostat. Otherwise very good breakfast and good service. I'd like to come back

Vi beklager at det var ganske varmt på rommet. Temperaturen skal kunne stilles i displayet på veggen, men vi har dessverre hatt noen tilfeller der rommet mister kontakt med hovedstyring. Da vil ikke innstillingen på rommet endres selv om temperaturen stilles i displayet. Det kan være dette som har skjedd på rommet ditt. Vi sjekker opp saken, og må bare beklage!
Det er godt å høre at du ellers hadde et fint opphold hos oss, at innsjekken gikk raskt og at rommet var rent og pent. Vi er glade for at frokosten falt i smak og at du opplevde god service.

Helpful staff who were serviced
Very good service. Nice and helpful staff. We asked to get a later check-out, and there was no problem. We were allowed to check out over six hours after the original check-out, no extra charge. We also got very much if we wanted to have rooms with regular shower or bathtub, which we thought was very nice to get huge themselves. The breakfast was also full and tasty. All in all very happy with the stay.

Modern rooms and best breakfast selection, by far
I chose this hotel due to the proximity to the train station to and from the airport. It is about a five minute walk from the station and is also nearby to central downtown.
Upon check-in, I was greeted by one of the most friendliest staff members who helped me check in with no hassle. My room was on the fifth floor, and as a solo traveller, the room was very spacious. The bathroom is on the smaller side but I didn't have any issues with it whatsoever. It is well stocked with required amenities, and is clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The breakfast buffet is a real stand out. There is plenty of variety offered - from cereal to cold cuts to hot food and pastries. There is a juicer for fresh orange juice, plenty of coffee options and other beverages. The seating area for breakfast was spacious. I thought this was the best breakfast I have been offered at a hotel!
I recommend this hotel to anyone who requires close proximity to downtown and to the central train station, and is looking for a clean, modern room and a great breakfast to start the day.
