I booked here because the review score on Google was high and I just wanted a budget place before I catch my late night flight.
The windowless room smelled moldy soon as I opened the door. It seemed like most of it was coming from the mattress and pillows, probably haven't changed or washed for years.
Infested by cockroaches. It was horrifying several of them crawling on the bed when I came back.
The drain of the sink isn't connected, it flows over the floor.
Elevator is permanently out of order.
I had to pay a deposit of RM40. For what? It's annoying when I'm trying to use up the last ringgit before leaving the country.
The wifi was often slow.
Petaling St. by night is garbage. Full of people and junk.
After having a horrible stay at Mandarin Pacific Hotel nearby, I'll avoid Chinatown altogether.

Really great staff that are doing a lot for the guests. Have in mind that it’s a budget hotel so the standard isn’t so high but very worth the money paid. The balcony is great to hang out at and from what I heard they are planning a restaurant there which would be great.

Good place to stay in KL

Thanks to Sham the new hotel manager who aspires to great things with this hotel. Great customer service and a clean air-conditioned room in a perfect location to explore Kuala Lumpur. Have stayedhere many times before and whilst it's no Hilton hotel it is much improved by the new management of Sham. A friendly and helpful host. Great location in the heart of Chinatown. Budget rooms with hot water aircon and clean facilities. Awesome views of the petaling st night market and quiet for sleep. Great for a night or a week. Will always come back.
