The room was large and we could see the suwa lake. The beddings were prepared by staffs and breakfast was also good. We could also enjoy the onsen downstairs. Also they let us check out an hour later. Perfect experience

This is another long-established inn.

I had heard of a reasonable ryokan in the past, so I tried staying there. However, the inn has not been able to educate its employees. There is no greeting when you enter the museum for check-in. Ambiguous response when checking the car parking location at check-in. If you go out for a walk around in the evening, the employees don't give a damn when they pass you on their way back and forth. Only one female employee, whose cold water was being changed during the morning bath, said, "Good morning. We apologize for the inconvenience. This is a pleasant greeting. I wonder what's going on with this inn.

Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible.

The rooms on the top floor with a 180-degree view of Lake Suwa are amazing.

I stayed in room 1205 "Kissho" on the top floor.
I booked this room because the official website said it was a suite room that was renovated in March of this year.
When you get off on the 12th floor, the top floor, you will enter the elevator hall, which has an auto-lock, and from there you enter a corridor to the suite rooms, which only have four rooms. Then there are entrance doors to each room.
I noticed when I looked back that the elevator doors and hall were luxurious and beautiful.
The room is 102 square meters.
When you go up from the entrance, you will find a tatami-floored corridor, and directly in front of you will see a semi-open-air bath with a natural hot spring water source that overlooks Lake Suwa. It is spacious and impressive.
When you enter, you will continue to the room on the right. It was a corner room with a 180-degree view of Lake Suwa. A wonderful view. The simple and clean room is spacious and refreshing.
If you look closely, you will see Japanese crafts on the bed head and in small places, but the subtle light-colored wood tone is calming.
The room is also equipped with an air duct and a humidifier. The linens had no unpleasant smell.
The room was well-cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay.
Just as you would expect from a "long-established Japanese inn."
The bath here was more satisfying than the suite room at my favorite members-only club inn.
There were several types of shampoo, so you could choose your favorite scent.
This is also great for women. I felt that the hospitality was thoughtful.
"I want to stay in this bath all day."
If I had to say one thing, the bed was quite hard, so I had trouble falling asleep.
The sofa was also hard.
Dinner was served in a private room, and breakfast was served in a large convention hall.
Hospitality was provided by a diverse staff of veteran ladies and young men, each with their own attentive service.
We really liked it overall, so my husband and I decided that this was an inn we would definitely like to visit again.

The hot springs are good. What about the view?

Although this is a long-established hotel on the shores of Lake Suwa, strictly speaking it is not on the lake, but a little far away. Therefore, compared to Saginoyu and Nunohan, which are on the lake, it is inevitably inferior in terms of scenery. However, the hot spring is spacious, and there is also an open-air bath and sauna. The interior of the lobby is also luxurious. Since I ate out this time, I only had breakfast, but they prepared a Japanese set meal instead of a buffet. The meal was quite filling. They serve refills of rice, but when another customer asked for a refill of miso soup, they firmly refused, saying, "We can give you rice, but not miso soup!" It wasn't crowded, so they should have provided that kind of service. I felt disappointed, even though it was not my own problem.
