Convenient
The location is great, just a few minutes walk to Kyoto JR station and a shopping mall with restaurants and Donki! Also, you can find convenience stores opposite to the hotel. The hotel room is clean and the breakfast is nice. There are toothbrushes with toothpaste, coffee, tea bags and shavers provided in the lobby.

Best location and pleasing staff.
Went as a couple to Kyoto for 2 nights, and overall experience was good.
The best thing about the hotel is its location; just a few minutes walk from Kyoto station. There are plenty of hotels nearby and you can see hotels with very similar names around.
We were greeted by polite and pleasing reception staff, and as we had reached much ahead of the check in time, we stored our luggage in the lockers and left for Arashiyama bamboo forest. Because of the proximity to the station, commuting was very easy.
As expected, rooms are small but well maintained and clean. Unfortunately one side of the bed is closed with the wall and that was bit of a problem. We had breakfast at the hotel. The spread is ok, with both Japanese and Western options, though not that much of variety one would expect. It was fairly good on the first day, and not so great on our second day. The dining area is small, but we did not see any waiting customers.
Kyoto Railway station has plenty of dining options and so no need to hunt for places to eat.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and not much room for complaints if we accept the fact that it is Japan.

Good location, 5 minutes from Kyoto Station (south). Japanese standard of cleanliness. Everything that I need - including self-service laundry is provided. Nothing beats Japanese functionality and hospitality. One more thing, the rooms are bigger compared to the usual Japanese rooms. Breakfast is delicious (I'm partial to Japanese breakfast). I will book this hotel again in the future.

It has just been renovated and feels like a new building.
I searched for a hotel within walking distance of Kyoto Station and made this one. It takes about 4-5 minutes on foot from the Hachijo East Exit and the location is easy to understand.
It opened in 2010, but only reopened in July this year, and the lobby and rooms felt like new construction.
In the lobby on the first floor, there was a new luggage room created in this renewal. After Check-out, it was convenient to leave your luggage for sightseeing.
The plan included breakfast (Japanese and Western buffet), but the number of items was also large and satisfying.

Although in the less animated southern port
A bit like the back stop
But there are convenient shops from the station to the hotel and there is also a guesthouse to visit
