Long walk from Hakata Station
The self check-in did not work very well - my reservation could not be found - and had to get the staff to check me in, which defeats the purpose of a self check-in.
The room, though small, had a sensible layout and enough space for my luggage to be opened - something not to be taken for granted in Japan. The double bed, tucked in an alcove, only works well for 1 guest; for 2 guests, the one sleeping on the outer side of the bed will have to be crawled over.
The cubby holes and USB ports in the headboard are a thoughtful touch - really handy for charging one's phone.
The hotel gym seems really well maintained, though it's small and can get crowded quickly. There are dumbells, a Smith machine, a bench, a rowing machine, an exercise bike, and that's all. It's a *very* limited selection.
I particularly liked how cup noodles were on sale at the hotel lobby. It makes a nice option for supper.
