Wonderful views, ideal hosts, stunning food.

Monica and her father were tremendous hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Monica gave details of places to visit and methods of travel, especially around the Portofino peninsula.
The bedroom was always clean and tidy on our return, and her breakfasts are surely legendary, their evening meals varied and of a very high standard, + too much wonderfully varied bread!! We would not hesitate to recommend Locanda Primo Sole.
The meals were amazing - I sampled Italian cuisine I had not tried before and loved it. We will always remember our visit

New Year's Eve dinner and night to forget

To celebrate New Year's Eve, we booked accommodation at Locanda Primo Sole through Airbnb as a group of 14 friends, which also included dinner, occupying half of the structure.
Upon our arrival, Mrs. Antonietta welcomed us very warmly and immediately accompanied us to the six rooms, where the heating had not yet been turned on or the windows opened.
The rooms hadn't been opened in a while, with dust on the furniture and dry leaves on the floors. The furniture was also makeshift, with unusable and closed wardrobes (inside were the owners' things), beds held together with tape and cots thrown into the rooms. In the rooms there were teacups, kettles and teaspoons, but they were dirty and not enough for everyone. A rotten orange was even found under a cup. The fridges in the rooms didn't work and some had mold inside them, and the TV hanging on the wall was unusable. There was also no toilet paper in the rooms, and we had to share the little we had!
New Year's Eve dinner was terrible.
There were several baskets with a sliced loaf of bread, but almost all of them had green mold underneath them. We asked for explanations and Mrs. Antonietta said that it was bread she had made that morning and that perhaps it had been placed on a baking tray or damp wood by mistake. So she apologized and brought us more bread which was good instead. They brought us the appetizer of fish (cold mix) and meat (sliced), first the Pansotti (these very, very good) and sleeves with fish, and second the stuffed calamari (good) and a rather hard and stringy.
A second course of roast chicken was missing from the menu, which for intolerance reasons I would have gladly eaten; Furthermore, it was not possible to choose à la carte, as we had been told when booking.
As for drinks, for 14 people we were only brought 4-5 bottles of wine and the same number of water, and to get a bottle we had to ask for it at least 3 times (and we were the only table, apart from that of his friends); after the seconds, the lady told us that she wouldn't bring us anything else to drink.
We had to pay before midnight, so he could celebrate with his friends, but the price of dinner magically increased from the estimated €20-30 per head to €35 per head!.
We paid in cash as Antonietta had requested, but the tax receipt was not given to us.
At the time we didn't want to ask for explanations so as not to ruin our evening.
At 11pm I went to my room and took two of my bottles of sparkling wine so I could at least toast at midnight... embarrassing really!
When he saw us toasting with OUR WINE, he brought us a pandoro, just one pandoro for 14 people.
When requesting coffee, Mrs. Antonietta only brought one to the girl she had spoken to when booking. No bitters or sweets offered... so much hospitality!!!
After midnight, loud music was played, so much so that we went to the room because we couldn't even talk (the lady and her friends stayed there instead), but we even heard ourselves banging on the walls complaining!
Some of us struggled to sleep due to the huge commotion in the restaurant.
The next morning he offered us a breakfast of sad biscuits, a cake to share between 14, coffee and tea. Only the girl who had booked received a small Sicilian cannoli offered by Mrs. Antonietta. Running a business is not easy but there seems to be some important shortcomings. Nobody really understood this situation.
The cost of the rooms was €32 each, booking and paying through Airbnb a month in advance.
Overall I could say that I will never go back there again, between the cleanliness and the behavior of the owner we really spent two indescribable days and finally I wouldn't even recommend it to friends.

Perfect place.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful, they gave us many advices how to plan our short stay. Monika is super multitasking woman with great energy. She speak English perfectly and she gave us great advice on places to visit. She also run a restaurant in the same place, so you dont have to worry at the evening about food. We ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed the food which was very reasonably priced. Room was perfectly clean with free water and beer in the fridge.
Thank you for that experience, we will remember it for sure. Thanks for all positive memories.

Amazing view from you room-terrace. Very friendly !!

We enjoyed much our 4days-stay at this B&B and the 15 minutes- drive up to the hills is worthwhile.
From your room-terrace, you have an amazing view on the hills and in the morning , you do have view on the ‘ primo sole’ .
The B&B is located in a very authentic Italian village , where one can easily calm down.
The owners, Monica ( and her father) are offering you clean rooms, a breakfast with variety and typical, Italian diners.
The kindness of Monica makes you feel at home and it is a Lady, full willingness to assist you .

Don't let the drive stop you! Its worth it!

This bed and breakfast is tucked away in the Luigurian mountains. The views are fabulous, the rooms clean, beds comfortable, and the restaurant is authentic homemade italian food at its best. But the star of the show are the owners, Monica and her father, Vito. They are incredibly warm and inviting and made our stay very special. Breakfasts of homemade pastries and eggs or crepes to order were great. Dinner was fantastic. Make sure to take the drive up the mountain to the look out for an amazing view. We were looking to spend our days at the beach, but were very happy to retreat up to the mountains at night and wake up each morning to an amazing sunrise and the song of hundreds of birds. Really special all the way around. You will for sure need a car to get here!
