Drunkenly goodness
Had a wicked time at M Box the reps Max and Cal made it a fun time for everyone. The communal drinking/ swimming area is a great place to meet people. Highly recommend if you like drinking a lot and not spending too much money.
Meals will run you about 3-5 AUD and a free social dinner is provided every night. All the staff are very friendly and the place felt like home by the time I left.

Fun time
Went for drinks with friends and had a great time. Lovely staff and I fun time for some drinks and had a look at the hostel and looked like a lot of fun :) we are currently staying in Canggu so had accomodation but will consider next time we come !!

M Box
Where do I begin. The check in process was long and drawn out. The pool was green, full of chemicals and unusable for our entire stay. The staff, although friendly at first were rather unwelcoming towards the tail end of my stay. I paid a deposit for a keycard that never worked and I always had to be let in by the evening staff after thorough interrogation. The rooms were a decent size but you had to request for any house work to be done which was only made aware to us 3 days into our stay. Also my friend had black mould on the ceiling of his dorm. The final issue was that no external guests were allowed to enter the hostel after hours.

The loveliest host
Me and 2 friends stayed at M Box last night. We were stuck for accommodation and had to stay last minute. The host was extremely kind & we can’t recommend the hospitality enough!! Thank you so much!! :)

Best hostel accommodation concept but with room for improvements in size of space offered
Arrived in Bali without a place to stay so walked around looking and this hostel caught my eye. From the street it is a very attractive, interesting and clean looking space albeit a bit dark. A few days later I came back and needed a couple of hours accomodation until my flight so decided to go back.
Location couldn’t really be better right next to a big Bintang supermarket which is always humming with locals and foreigners alike and plenty of dining and shopping around on the bustling road in front. They even have a restaurant serving pizza as part of the hostel. As with most properties in Bali the space extends quite far back and unfortunately most of it is taken up by lounge space or games areas for guests. They even have managed to put in a swimming pool which is a big plus for a hostel.
However, all this space taken up by lounge area is at the expense of really limiting the size of the rooms (cabins as they call them) and dormitory (almost an actual capsule). The price of the cabin is IDR150k while the dorm is IDR130k. For that difference I would def recommend the cabin as the dorm is almost uncomfortably poky and would easily be turned into a bad experience if paired with inconsiderate dorm mates. The dorm option also only had a central light and no individual bed light so if someone was up everyone would know. There was also no storage space provided with the dorms, just a safe under the bed. So def go for the cabin.
Plenty of chance to socialise if that is what you want. They also have a lot of other services such as arranging tours etc and had an interesting promo of free pizza on mondays and Thursday’s (if I’m not mistaken) for all guests from the on site restaurant in the wall.
Overall interesting and good place but I would only ever take a cabin and not a dorm unless for a few hours like I did at half the original price.
