The Heart of Corfutown

This was my first visit to Corfu, Greece on a hiking holiday. The rooms were small as was the elevator, but the stairs work fine! The hotel was clean, provided excellent service with comfy beds, complimentary water every day, great location, and old world charm.

Stunning views and friendly service, but interiors need attention
Stayed at the Cavalieri Hotel in Corfu Old Town and the location is absolutely superb – right in the heart of things with breathtaking views across the sea and rooftops. You really can’t beat it for atmosphere and setting.
The staff were genuinely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made a real difference to the stay.
That said, the interiors do let the hotel down a bit. The décor feels quite dated, with tired carpets, scuffed walls in need of a fresh coat of paint, and a bathroom that could really do with modernising. The TV in the room was also surprisingly small and not especially usable.
With a bit of refurbishment, this could be a truly exceptional hotel – it certainly has the potential.

Excellent traditional hotel in a great location right in the centre of the old town. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and spacious rooms.

Plush and comfort

Wonderfully plush old-fashioned hotel, but with all modern comforts, at the end of the main street, therefore quiet, great view of the harbour and castle, roof terrace with all-round views, very suitable for a drink (even non-hotel guests are welcome), the food was rather disappointing, very good, rich breakfast buffet.
