Small but fabulous bed and breakfast in great location

What a find! Tucked away in a small elegant neighborhood just a few minutes walk from a major bus stop in one direction and a historic park with museums in the other.
Karin, the hostess, could not have been more helpful, even suggesting buses and restaurants and other destinations on a map. Her English is surprisingly good, and her breakfasts were hearty and delicious. I stayed for seven nights and ate a variety of freshly made omelettes, Scotch eggs, rye porridge, egg and sausage casserole, multiple fresh fruit selections, traditional fish spreads, local breads. Some mornings I lingered over coffee. My room was cleaned daily, and everything was quite comfortable.
I would definitely return, maybe just to talk with Karin!

Delightful

This is a quaint little bed and breakfast tucked away on a quiet road, not far from city center. The accommodations are very basic. The beds very hard. But the rooms are more than adequate. Each has a small bathroom, table, and night stand. The breakfast is abundant with rich local varieties. There are nice places to eat out within walking distance. If you are looking for a low-budget, quiet, friendly accommodation with a nice breakfast, this is your place!

Comfortable and quiet

I spent New Year's night in 2017 in the old enchanting little villa. I slept really well, breakfast was beautifully covered and I was served a local black sausage and potatoes. Poska Villa has been carefully renovated and modern. I will certainly visit again.

The worst mattresses in a hotel I've ever met

Nice quiet hostel (or less) with a good location BUT a lovely and cozy atmosphere is not enough if everything else is below average. Poor language skills, breakfast was so and so, (we couldn't get another cup of coffee) poor or pitiful mattresses, deep and narrow stairs and too crowded breakfast room. Lack of information.

A very special place in the birth of the Estonian nation. Jaan Poska a man of the people and selfless determination.

This house is dedicated to a remarkable man in Estonian history. It is wonderful it is preserved as a mark of respect to a man who worked with passion to gaining independence for the Estonian people that became a wonderful cultural nation.
