Wonderful place

The Hacienda is really nice. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The view is amazing. The coffee tour is so informative. Everything is well explained. You can even pick some coffee cherries. The food is delicious and not expensive. You get a whole menu for a reasonable price. Everybody on the Hacienda is really nice and helpful and they made the trip even more special. It is worth the trip.

Educational and Relaxing Stay on a Beautiful Coffee Farm

We were a group four staying at Hacienda Guayabal for three nights in one of the cabins. We had a wonderful time in the cabin and in the beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed at the beauty and peacefulness around us. We spent some of our first afternoon just reading on the balcony overlooking the mountains. The only problem we had was deciding on how to divide our time on the hammock. Jorge and his family running the hotel and restaurant were very professional and the place was very well run. The food was great and the staff were very attentive and kind. Jorge helped us find transportation and worked with us every step of the way to make our stay very memorable. We did the coffee tour with Phillipe and it was really interesting. He had so much knowledge and passion for the coffee and process at Hacienda Guayabal. Our group would stay here again if we find ourselves in Chinchina again.

Very nice place, beautiful nature and quiet - Friendly people - very hospitable - explanation about coffee & plantation - a lot of birds for ex hummingbirds - you can visit only for make a tour through the plantation or you can also sleep there

Beautiful Coffee Farm Bird Sanctuary

Beautiful family farm three generations strong. I spent three nights, a reprieve from the busy pueblo’s having traveled through Aguadas, Salimina and Manizales. Tranquil setting albeit active and alive with coffee harvest in full swing. Warm inviting and ever accommodating staff and family that grace this working coffee farm. Hector invited me to observe the caferero’s day’s harvest weigh in. Unforgettable! What a kind and hospitable family! Jorge, Dona Maria Theresa, young Juan and his Madre, (whose name escapes me) were all so genuinely welcoming and down to earth. Pelo kept me smiling and laughing and overfed despite my preposterous dietary restrictions. Forever ensuring I’d a coffee or tea or water. Felipe gave the most thorough, detailed coffee tour imaginable. Indeed an educator. Nice relaxing room with lovey decks to choose from. Farm walks through resplendent, verdant trail bursting forth God’s priceless, precious Columbian coffee beans. 3 nights, professional coffee tour, breakfast, lunch, dinner with innumerable coffees, teas, juices and heartfelt hospitality for 149.00 USD. DIG THAT! If only for the tour and lunch a worthy choice.

Great experience

We (two travelers) visited Hacienda during harvest season in October. We have been only visitors so we got our own private tour with Felipe (hope to spell his name right). His knowledges were outstanding! Nothing he wouldn't know about coffee. Our tour finished with tasty 3 course lunch which was also very delicious. If you love coffee, make sure you visit this super friendly and family farm! You won't regret :-)
