Does the job
Check-in was quick and required a 200 RMB security deposit. The staff did not speak English but overheard what seemed like a manager speaking some English. The room as well as the hotel were quite clean; the room itself is very spacious but missing a lot of basic items, and they did provide disposable toiletries. The room had no safety box, nor did it have a minibar. Air-conditioning worked well, but lightning control was confusing. The best thing about this hotel was the building's elevator, which is one of the fastest I've ever come across.
The self-service laundry area was decent, but the machines took way too long. If you required detergent, you had to go down to reception, but it was free. We had an issue with the Meituan cupboard in the lobby as our waimai wouldn't open, so the manager assisted in calling Meituan to manually open the door, which took almost 15 minutes. The manager seemed more annoyed than helpful during that issue.
Location was very good as it's opposite a shopping mall with a 7/11 and a large variety of restaurant/café options. Besides having a great metro connection, the hotel is located on a narrow backstreet, and it's quite a nightmare getting in and out via Didi/taxi.
I wouldn't stay at this property, nor would I recommend it, but it isn't terrible either.
