Stay as if you live in Rio

Early check-in was possible for a fee, which was helpful.
I was very impressed to see the view of Pont the Assoukhar from the window, including the night view, in a white-based room with a sense of cleanliness.
Unlike the hotel, I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as if I lived there.
But the location was on a hill, so the cobblestone hill continued, and the walk was pretty hard and I hurt my ankle. Therefore, we took a motorcycle taxi several times on the way back.
But there are a few things I'm not happy about.
· The washing machine was broken and could not be used, but was not maintained during the stay.
・ Overnight on Saturday, loud music from a nearby favela played and kept me awake ⇒ later confirmed that it was only on Saturday
· I assumed that the cleaning fee on the billing statement was during my stay, but it turned out to be after my stay, so I wanted to specify it because it was difficult to understand.
・There were no English-speaking staff on site, so I was troubled when something happened.
However, it was a wonderful memory to be able to stay as if I were living in Rio.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! WORST ACCOMMODATION AND NO SERVICE OR HELP FROM OWNER!

This was the worst experience I had with an accommodation ever! After taking the money, the owner didn't care anymore. At first the aircondition didn't work. I messaged him and didn't receive any answers. The next day a boy (part of his team) showed up at my door (luckily I was home, because I didn't get the information someone was coming!) to check on the aircon, which after that still didn't work, but I just gace up. The apartment is in a bad/very used condition. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. On my last day when I came back from town, the key broke inside the lock as I tried to lock up the door. This was around 6:30 PM. I immediately messaged the owner on the number from Booking.com and additionally on Booking.com, and again no answer. I was in distress because I didn't know what to do, couldn't get in and feared I had to sleep in the hallway if the building. All which I mentioned in my messages and all left unanswered by the owner! I then went down to the bar across the street, the owner helped me to call a key service and I could wait there. The key service cost me 40 Euros. The next day, still no answer from the owner. At 11 am the boy shows up again and asks why I didn't check out. I explained the situation, he talks to the owner who lets me know I must leave the apartment ASAP for cleaning and repair of the lock because they arw expecting new guests! I say, I want a refund for the key service, as I had to pay to get back in. No, I won't get any refund, was the answer from the very rude owner. If you book here, be sure to be treated with disrespect! Also, you won’t be able to rest, as the aircondition from the apartment underneath is super loud during the night and that's located right next to the bedroom window.

Excellent!!

Simple but complete apartment, very clean and pleasant. Incredible view! Very quiet street with bars and even a little bar to enjoy the night! A little difficult to get an Uber as it is difficult to access, you need a little patience lol. Staff responsible for the stay, very attentive and polite!

This is my second time staying here. It is clean, pleasant, and reasonably priced. Most appreciate that it is in the touristy area of Santa Teresa and near LAPA. That is nice too. There's also a great view of the center from most rooms.
My only minus, which isn't tied to the place, is that if you're out late, it can be difficult to get an uber up into the steep hills of Santa Teresa. Most taxis will though.
