reception and operation
Good explanation upon arrival. In the evening Peter brought very tasty and fresh dishes and in the morning we were spoiled by Sabine with an extensive breakfast. Very pleasant stay with a friendly hostess and host. To be repeated. Don't forget to try the house cocktail (very tasty). Thanks Sabine and Peter. Greetings, Jose and Magda

For bicycle fans
This hotel is situated in the middle of a village.
You can start bicycle tours from here to any part of Limburg. You can cycle through forests and the country and enjoy the peace and quiet of an underestimated part of Belgium.
The hotel itself was a bit of a disappointment, though.
The reception was very friendly (but than again most people in Limburg are very warm and welcoming).
The room we were given, was situated on the first floor, which can only be reached by a small staircase. Not very practical if you have a large suitcase.
The room was clean, but lacked a few necessities one usually finds in a hotel. There was no soap in the shower and there was no dryer. The room didn't have a fridge and the television was rather old.
We came on a chilly day and wanted to turn on the central heating. This didn't work, so the first part of our stay it was really cold in the room. In the evening the heat was turned on, but then the room became so hot that it was difficult to sleep, and we didn't find a way to turn it off, so we had to open the window to let in some fresh air. Not very friendly for the environment.
Breakfast was OK. There were three kinds of bread (although croissants would have been welcome on a Sunday morning), cheese, jam and different sorts of meat. The coffee was fresh and we were offered a refill more than once. The orange juice wasn't freshly made. The boiled egg was appreciated.
If you are looking for a very simple, affordable hotel to start your discovery of Limburg by bike, this is the place to book. But don't forget to take your soap :-)

We hebben al opnieuw geboekt!!!!
We verbleven 4 dagen in de penthouse en in halfpension. De penthouse is ruim, gezellig, krijgt veel licht, bed is perfect en er is een klein keukentje waar je iets kan klaarmaken ;als je dat al zou willen) Een tafel met 4 makkelijke stoelen maken dit af. Ruime badkamer met douche en bad en afzonderlijk toilet. Het ontbijt is rijkelijk en erg goed. Het avondeten is subliem. Het wordt gekookt door de eigenaar wiens passie je duidelijk op je bord proeft. Het dagelijkse 3 gangen feestmaal is een aansporing om in HP te boeken. De gastvrouw is attent, altijd vriendelijk en helpt je bij het plannen van je dag. Wij hebben al opnieuw geboekt!!

Culinair genot
Heel vriendelijke koppel die het hotel uitbaten , het ontbijt wordt in deze corona tijd aan tafel gezet en was er nog keuze voor een ei en lekkere yoghurt. Aan de bazin kon men raad vragen over de vele wandelingen en fietstochten die je in deze mooie streek kan doen . S ’avonds kwam de Baas zijn 3 gangenmenu voorstellen en telkens was het super lekker en heel mooi gepresenteerd . Een echte aanrader .

Goed hotel en culinaire verwennerij!
De ontvangst, was heel vriendelijk door de patron en zijn vrouw. Ze gaven meteen geweldige tips om te fietsen! En we hadden 1 e-bike gehuurd voor 3 dagen, en ook daar kregen we de nodige uitleg bij.
Ook het continentaal ontbijt, was heel lekker! En de patron kwam vragen of we een etje moesten hebben, andere dag was het een gebakken spiegelei met heerlijke ham en de andere dag een gekookt etje. Ook kwam hij altijd vragen of we heerlijke verse yoghurt met fruit moesten hebben.
Het avondmaal (de patron kwam zijn menu altijd voorstellen), is hier pure culinaire verwennerij! Je krijgt een heerlijk 3-gangenmenu met eerst een goed slaatje met goede dressing en daar Achelse kaaskroketjes en geitenkaasjes bij of anderzijds de heerlijke gerookte zalm. Ook het hoofdgerecht was heerlijk, wij hadden het heerlijke varkenshaasje met warme groenten, en heerlijke saus en de andere avond de heerlijke kippenfilets met ook een geweldig sausje en ook heerlijk warm sausje. Ook het dessert was altijd top!
De vrouw des huizes zorgde ervoor dat je niets te kort kwam.
De kamers waren top, wij hadden het geweldige penthouse (dak-appartement) met kitchenette en grote salon, waar je tot 5 personen kunt te slapen leggen!
Alles was heel net en heel proper, en alles was in orde ivm corona.
De omgeving was heel geweldig om te fietsen, met een uitgebreid fietsennetwerk. Er is tevens ook een afgesloten fietstaling aan het hotel!
Kortom een geweldig hotel met de patron aan het fornuis en pure culinaire verwennerij!
