Disgusting - no cleaning

Absolutely disgusting..no cleaning as evident by the attached photos. Had to stay in this dreadful part of the world as passing through to Adelaide. Didn’t feel safe due to local community in next door park and certainly didn’t feel comfortable in a dirty hotel. Getting to the room requires parking out the back and 3 different codes on different doors with multiple staircases ..try that with a suitcase!

The Most Inconvenient Hotel

This boutique hotel has obviously been recently renovated, boasting quality materials and decorated with beautiful furnishings. As beautiful as the room was, it was very impractical.
The room had a great kitchenette with microwave and stove top for cooking meals, which has been a bonus for us on our 4 month road trip.
However, there was no table and chairs in the room to eat. It baffles me to understand the point of having a kitchenette to cook meals, but nowhere to eat them!!
Not only that, but this kitchenette had the smallest mini bar fridge you could possibly get, and it certainly was the smallest one we came across on our whole trip!! So small, we couldn't fit all our food in it, let alone all our ice blocks we need to keep our food cold whilst driving! Again, so incomprehensible!!
Paper thin walls between the rooms presented us with free entertainment for the night! We could hear the whole TV program the people next door were watching which was extremely annoying!
Another very annoying and inconvenient thing about this hotel was the 3 flights of stairs we had to climb to get to our room with all our luggage!
There were 4 alarm systems with codes in place for security purposes. On check-out day, after having made our 2nd trip to the car with our luggage, we couldn't get back in the front door with the key code! Had to call a number on the door for help. If that wasn't enough, when we finally had the car packed and were ready to leave, we couldn't get the remote to work on the carpark gate! Two phone calls later to the owner, 3 quarters of an hour wasted and a sense of a 'Hotel California' feeling, we were finally gone! Thank God and definitely, never to return!!

Nice quality but prefer staff available

Nothing wrong with hotel but…
We like personal touch. You get a log in code for lock up parking. Log in code to enter hotel.
Hotel it self is nice and quaint. Very quiet but room is a long way from parking. Stairs without an elevator. Decided to leave cases in car and only take essentials to room. All codes work fine. Once inside there is a fob to go back and forth to room. Room quality was fine. Bed fine. As hotel was pretty empty we were disappointed to find we were next to another who were partying. No issue except noise travelled through shared door. If there was a reception we could have asked to move… alas we couldn’t, due to no reception staff. People did quiet down when asked. Due to empty hotel we were annoyed that room had to be so close to each other. Shower temperature was only just warm.
Room was fine. Bed cosy. I probably wouldn’t stay again due to shower temp and no staff on hand. All else ok.

Doesn’t quite hit the hype

Impressive building .. great bed but…. Bathroom has no shelf for toiletries. Nowhere in shower to put soap, shampoo etc. Room was for two people but only one chair. Floorboards (Room 6) creaked every step we took but our biggest issue was the so called SECURE parking. Key code access but the portable fencing at the front street had been loosened allowing anyone to walk into the compound. The hotel has great potential but needs minor issues corrected
