The Onsen baths are great after a city jaunt although a bit of a walk to the baths. Beautiful building and the Japanese room us spacious.

We do not recommend staying for a long time. The room is small and inconvenient. Meals are almost the same every day.

Year-end and New Year holidays I stayed four nights. Its location is conveniently close to Kochi Castle, Hirome Market, Asaichi, and Harimayabashi.
I stayed in twin rooms in Building 2. The room was small and the view from the window was of the power company next door, which was the worst. It was difficult to use because it had little storage. It was a unit bath with an integrated toilet, it was just too small, the toilet was too small, it was painful. The large public bath in the annex was very good, with a spacious oversized bath, small bath, open-air bath, sauna and water bath.
Dinner was very cold in the large Japanese-style room. The main dishes were Tosa dishes (bonito tataki, sashimi platter) and it was the same for four days, I was bored, there were few hot dishes and my body was cold. Breakfast is Japanese and Western buffet and the contents are normal. I didn't eat it, but French fries and Napolitan seemed to be popular this morning.
Satisfied with the public bath. Other than that, it's business-like and not worth the price. There are no restaurants or cafes on site, so even if you get tired of the food you are served, it was quite painful to have to eat it.

A breakfast buffet where you can learn about Kochi's food culture

This is a great hotel with a buffet and a multi-level view to learn about Kochi's food culture. It's right in front of the river and I'd been interested in this hotel when I walked there before. This time I was able to make a reservation at a low price with breakfast included. The room was a smoking twin and I was worried about the cigarette smell, but even though I'm a bit sensitive to smells, it didn't smell at all. However, the building I stayed in is old. There's no denying that the bathroom and the wallpaper next to the elevator were old. The clientele was not bad. There were a lot of older ladies. Maybe they were on a group tour or something. This is a decent inn, so it was a relief that there were no low-class customers. It's a great place to go to the bar district and it's not noisy, so it's the best. And the breakfast buffet is delicious. In Kochi, you always eat at places you go out at night, so you don't get dinner, but if you stay here, it's better to get breakfast. You're sure to enjoy Kochi's unique food culture.

I was fooled by the beautiful entrance gate.

We booked 4 rooms for 8 people including 3 friends and 3 couples. We stayed in the new wing, but the rooms were small. It felt like a business hotel, and was not very tasteful despite its class.
